Rental Rates and Payment

The Rialto Center for the Arts at Georgia State Universityis an exquisite multiple-purpose facility featuring an acoustically superb Theater and a Lobby and SunTrust Presidential Suite that are contemporary in design. Each space invites diverse programming and exciting event possibilities. From receptions to meetings, let the Rialto be at the center of making your next event a unique and successful one!

Principles

  • Rental agreement is between the Rialto Center for the Arts/Board of Regents and the Renter, who is responsible for all bills and is the only entity authorized to give instructions pertaining to the event.
  • All payments for rental must be in the form of cash, cashiers check or money order. Checks should be made out to: Rialto Center for the Arts, Georgia State University .
  • The individual, organization or company renting the Rialto Center is required to have proof of insurance totaling one million dollars ($1,000,000) for general liability and two million dollars ($2,000,000) for general aggregate coverage no later than seven days before the event; or the Renter may purchase insurance through the Rialto at $150 per 24-hour period.

If a Certificate of Insurability is not provided seven days in advance of the event, an automatic charge for insurance will be applied toward the Renter's final invoice.

If provided, the holder of the Certificate should be specified as: Rialto Center for the Arts, Board of Regents, Atlanta, GA 30303 .

  • Renters presenting "performing arts" events receive day-of-event marquee visibility on the Forsyth Street side of the sign at no additional charge. The Rialto does not grant usage of the marquee to Renters having private parties, meetings or receptions without prior approval.
  • All advertising and printed materials associated with rental events at the Rialto Center must be pre-approved by the Rialto Events Manager at least seven days before release.
  • In order to protect the venue, no nails, tacks or adhesives of any kind may be used on any surface in the Lobby, SunTrust Presidential Suite or Theater.
  • The Rialto Center reserves the exclusive right to sell concessions at any and all events at no charge to the Renter. Renter receives no compensation from the Rialto 's sale of such. No free samples of food or beverage may be given away or otherwise distributed without prior written approval from the Rialto Center .
  • The Rialto Center cannot assume responsibility for items left by the caterer, guests, or Renter. The Renter is responsible for removing all articles and/or equipment brought in for the event. Caterers must be self-contained and responsible for removing all articles, including trash and/or equipment brought in for the event.
  • The Rialto Center is equipped with a wheelchair lift that accesses the orchestra level of the theater and an assistive-listening system. Headphones are available upon request.
  • Smoking is not permitted inside the Rialto Center.

Date Availability

  • Date availability must be confirmed by the Events Department. Reserving dates is managed on a "first come" basis.
  • Pending date availability, upon receipt of a completed Date Hold Application, a Letter of Intent will be issued to the Renter. This agreement must be signed and returned to the Rialto Center Events Department with full payment of associated room charges and the $500 refundable damage deposit 30 days later. The Rialto Center reserves the right to challenge holds at any time byi contacting the holding Renter to either return the Letter of Intent and initial payments or to release the date to a second party.
  • Any request for changes or cancellations after the Rialto Center generates the Letter of Intent must be made in writing. Cancellations less than 90 days prior to the event will incur a penalty charge of one (1) day's rental or the deposit amount up to the cost of one (1) day's rental. The Rialto Center is not obligated to approve any alternative date(s).
