Dance Floor

The Rialto Center's stage is a sprung wooden floor. A black marley floor is maintained for use with dance performances. Standard 2" black gaffers tape is used to affix the marley to the stage. Please note that the marley covers the entire danceable area except for the downstage area on the apron.

Orchestra Pit

There is an orchestra pit for the stage. This pit is 4 feet below the house level and 8 feet below the stage level. Additionally, there is a pit filler which raises the pit to either the house or stage level. The pit is not motorized and requires an additional labor cost to raise or lower.

Smoke Machines

The Rialto has a DF-50 Diffusion Hazer and a Martin Fogger available for all productions. Use of either system requires deactivation of smoke detectors in the hall and additional labor cost. Either system must be requested in advance.
