Volunteering

Thank you for your interest in the volunteer program at the Rialto Center for the Performing Arts. As a valued volunteer, you will be an integral part of the excitement that is bringing Atlantans back to the heart of downtown.

We are currently seeking volunteers as ushers, docents, ambassadors, and administrative assistants.

Usher Program

As a volunteer usher, you will be the cornerstone of our front-of-house team. Our ushers perform a variety of front-of-house duties including taking tickets, screening, ushering, serving patrons, coat checking and working as fire marshals. All volunteers must complete a 90-minute orientation and purchase a volunteer usher badge for $1.00.

Docent Programs

As a volunteer docent, you will be responsible for conducting tours of our magnificent facility. Docents must attend a 2-hour orientation and conduct a sample tour before being certified.

Ambassador Program

As an ambassador, you are our cheerleader. You are an extension of our Marketing Department, representing the Rialto at volunteer fairs, festivals, pledge drives, and other special events.

Administrative Assistant Program

The Rialto is looking for dedicated, committed individuals to volunteer to help with the administrative process of running a performing arts center. Our volunteer administrative assistants will be asked to commit one or two days a week (as available) to help answer telephones, maintain department databases, file, copy, enter data, courier, break down and set up, etc. Volunteers will be matched with the department that can best use their skills. Volunteers must complete a volunteer profile and have a brief interview with the interested department head.

All first-time ushers must attend an Usher Orientation, which lasts about an hour and a half and is held in the Rialto lobby.
